The Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam in collaboration with Times Square Shopping Centre, is holding a 2-day Japanese Culture and Film Festival 2025, until the 16th of November 2025. The Opening Ceremony of the Festival took place on 15th November morning.

Present was Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The festival included stage performances, cultural workshops and exhibitions. In addition, two Japanese films will be screened. The festival aims to showcase both traditional and contemporary Japanese cultures, while also serving as a platform to learn about study opportunities, scholarships, and youth exchange programs in Japan. Also present was His Excellency Kikuta Yutaka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the country. It is open to the public from 10 in the morning until 9 at night.
